About
Gretel Colvert is a local Artist and Educator. Gretelʼs background includes a BFA in Painting from San Jose State and further coursework in printmaking, ceramics, color theory, and drawing and rendering. She has taught art to children in the Palo Alto Schools since 2014, as well as teaching in local private schools. She likes to work from life and en plein air, striving to create images that reflect the emotion and spirit of the landscape and a sense of place. Her work has been included in group shows and is in private collections.
